1. Consultation and assessment:

A thorough intra-oral examination will take place as a start. This step assesses whether any additional dental procedure is needed, such as extracting any remaining roots (if existing).

A cone beam CT is mandatory to collect all the required data for careful treatment planning about bone density, width, and approximation to any vital structures.

The collected data will help choose the most appropriate implant location, direction, length, and width. Also, to evaluate if an additional step of bone graft procedure is needed.

This meticulous data collection procedure and treatment planning ensure implant success.

Our team will discuss the final treatment plan with you to share the procedure steps and the expected outcome. Also, detailed post-operative instructions will be provided and explained to you.

3. Final prosthesis:

The final prosthesis insertion may take up to 6 months until complete healing and osteointegration around the implants. The Final prosthesis is screwed to the implant abutments to act as a fixed restoration that you cannot remove by yourself.

Post-operative care

• Within the first six months, avoid hard food until the complete healing of the implants.
• Quit smoking and avoid alcohol and acidic beverages.
• Care and maintenance: follow the suggested oral hygiene instructions on how to clean your restoration to keep a radiant smile for a long time and avoid gums inflammation underneath the restoration. These include:
  • Regular brushing and flossing are essential in your daily routine. Brush twice daily, mainly after meals, and floss at least once.
  • Water picks are advantageous to help remove any remaining food particles.
  • The use of antiseptic mouthwashes.
  • Use a soft toothbrush and avoid abrasive toothpaste.
• Schedule follow-up visits every six months to monitor the condition of your implants and restoration and address any problems as early as possible.
